Darcy Rose Byrnes is an American and Irish actress recognized for her extensive work in television, film, and voice acting, alongside her musical and theatrical contributions. After securing her first television role as ‘Abby’ in the CBS soap opera ‘The Young & the Restless’ in 2003, Darcy Rose Byrnes maintained the role until 2008, earning an early Emmy pre-nomination for her portrayal. During this period, she also appeared as a recurring guest star in ‘The Bold and the Beautiful.’ Her early career further included roles in acclaimed series such as ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ ‘Ghost Whisperer,’ ‘Cold Case,’ ‘Dirty Sexy Money,’ and ‘House.’ From 2010 to 2012, Byrnes solidified her presence in the television industry, portraying ‘Penny Scavo’ in the hit drama series ‘Desperate Housewives.’ Following her impactful work on ‘Desperate Housewives,’ Darcy Rose Byrnes transitioned her focus to voice acting, becoming widely recognized as the singing and speaking voice of ‘Princess Amber’ across Disney’s ‘Sofia the First’ (2012-2018) and ‘Elena of Avalor’ (2016-2020).
