About

David Morgan is a British comedian and television presenter originally from Solihull. They began their comedy career performing with the Bachman Turner Improvise sketch group in 2005 before transitioning to solo stand-up. Their show “Triple Threat” was well-received at the Edinburgh Fringe and garnered a nomination for Best New Show at the 2011 Leicester Comedy Festival. Morgan’s energetic delivery and stage presence facilitated a rapid progression, leading to regular roles as a compere on the comedy circuit and subsequent television opportunities. This early success laid the groundwork for their extensive broadcast career.

Morgan gained significant recognition through their television appearances, including roles on BBC Three’s “Sweat the Small Stuff,” E4’s “Virtually Famous,” and Channel 5’s “Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.” A notable career milestone occurred in 2015 when they took over from Rob Beckett to co-present “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW!” for ITV2, alongside Joe Swash and Laura Whitmore. They also served as a team captain for two series of ITV2’s “Safeword” in 2015/2016, opposite Katherine Ryan. Morgan was a regular guest presenter on Virgin Radio and frequently appeared on ITV1’s “Weekend” show, hosted by Aled Jones. In 2018, they became a regular guest presenter on ITV1’s “Zoe Ball on Saturday/Sunday.”

In 2018, Morgan expanded their career into live theatre, joining the cast of “Magic Mike Live” at The London Hippodrome. This production was conceived and co-directed by Channing Tatum, and Morgan’s performance received positive reviews after its opening on November 10, 2018. In 2020, they were awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s New Years Honours List for their services to Weightlifting in Cambridgeshire, England. In January 2021, Morgan publicly identified as non-binary, using they/them pronouns. This career trajectory highlights a consistent presence in entertainment and a diversified approach to performance across multiple mediums.
