Deena Nicole Cortese, born on January 12, 1987, in New Egypt, New Jersey, became a prominent figure in reality television. She initially auditioned for the first season of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” but delayed her participation due to family matters. Her entry into the show in its third season, filmed in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, was at the suggestion of fellow cast member Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, filling the vacancy left by Angelina Pivarnick. Throughout her time on “Jersey Shore” from 2010 to 2012, Cortese developed a public persona known for her outgoing nature and loyalty within the group dynamics. Her early career also included educational pursuits, having attended New Egypt High School where she engaged in cheerleading and dance, followed by a period at Brookdale Community College in Middletown Township, New Jersey.
Following the conclusion of the original series, Cortese expanded her television appearances. In 2014, she participated in “Couples Therapy,” providing insight into her personal relationships. Her reality television career continued with her return to MTV in 2018 for “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” a series that is currently ongoing. This period marked a progression in her public life, including her marriage to Christopher Buckner on October 28, 2017. Her personal life milestones intertwine with her public narrative, as she welcomed two sons, Christopher John “CJ” Buckner (born January 5, 2019) and Cameron Theo Buckner (born May 1, 2021). These events have often been shared with her audience through her television appearances and social media.
Beyond television, Deena Nicole Buckner has pursued entrepreneurial endeavors, notably launching a clothing line for infants. This venture reflects her transition into a ‘mompreneur’ role, combining her experiences in motherhood with business. Her public presence is further maintained through participation in various talk shows and celebrity-focused programs, including “The Simonetta Lein Show” (2023), “Entertainment Tonight” (2022–2023), “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” (2012–2023), “The View” (2018–2023), “Celebrity Family Feud” (2020), and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” (2011–2020).
