Deepak Chopra, MD, graduated from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, in 1969, before moving to the United States in 1970 to complete residencies in internal medicine and specialize in endocrinology. He held positions at Tufts University, Boston University, and Harvard University medical schools, eventually becoming Chief of Staff at the New England Memorial Hospital (NEMH) in the late 1970s/early 1980s. A significant turning point in his career occurred in 1985, leading him to integrate Ayurvedic practices into his medical philosophy. He subsequently established the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center and published his seminal works, ‘Quantum Healing: Exploring the Frontiers of Mind/Body Medicine’ in 1989, followed by ‘Perfect Health: The Complete Mind/Body Guide’ in 1990.
In 2015, Chopra partnered with Paul Tudor Jones II to found JUST Capital, further demonstrating his broad engagement across various sectors. He was promoted to voluntary full clinical professor at the University of California, San Diego, in 2016, a position he continues to hold. Most recently, in 2023, Chopra co-hosted the ‘We the Future’ event with Kenneth Cole, continuing his role as a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation for global audiences.
