Desmin Borges

Awarded a prestigious Theatre World Award for his compelling Off-Broadway performance in ‘The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity,’ Desmin Borges quickly established himself as a formidable talent in the American theater scene. His work in the acclaimed production also earned him a Lortel Nomination, a Drama League Nomination for Lead Actor, and a Jeff Award for Lead Actor in its regional run. Borges refined his craft by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater, with these early experiences laying a robust foundation for his impactful career across stage, television, and film. Borges gained significant prominence for his portrayal of Edgar Quintero in the FX/FXX comedy-drama ‘You’re the Worst,’ a role he brought to life across 62 episodes from 2014 to 2019.

Expanding his footprint in the industry, he also ventured into production, serving as a producer for the independent film ‘Hangdog,’ which premiered in 2023. Most recently, Borges joined the acclaimed cast of Hulu’s ‘Only Murders in the Building’ in 2024, appearing as Alfonso for four episodes. His upcoming film projects include ‘Valiant One,’ set for release in 2025, and ‘Oh, Hi!,’ also slated for 2025. Demonstrating his continued commitment to both acting and creative development, Borges is also attached as a producer for the upcoming short film ‘Émigré/Americana,’ scheduled for 2025, further solidifying his versatile contributions to the entertainment industry.
