Dewayne Perkins is an Emmy-nominated comedian, writer, producer, and actor, known for his impactful presence in both television and film, including his work on “The Blackening” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” After gaining significant recognition through the improv trio 3Peat and their viral sketch ‘The Blackening,’ released online by Comedy Central in 2018, Dewayne Perkins has established himself as an Emmy-nominated comedian, writer, producer, and actor with an impactful presence in both television and film. Perkins honed his comedic voice through extensive improv training at The Second City and iO Theater. His early professional work included writing and performing ‘Black Side of the Moon’ at Woolly Mammoth Theater in D.C. in 2016, a project that showcased his unique blend of humor and social commentary.

He is set to write and executive produce ‘Chopped & Screwed’ for ABC, a multi-camera sitcom centered on a Black barbershop and beauty salon, demonstrating his ability to craft compelling narratives for network television. Additionally, Perkins will executive produce and write an animated television series adaptation of the iconic board game ‘Clue’ for Fox. Audiences can also anticipate his recurring role in Seth Rogen’s new Apple TV+ comedy series ‘The Studio,’ which is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
