Born and raised in Miami with Colombian heritage, Diana Pombo first gained public attention at age 10 for her performances on JLO’s NBC World of Dance. Her abilities in dance and music were noticed early in her career. Her initial success on the show for her soulful artistry led her to pursue interests in songwriting and playing musical instruments. Diana wrote her first song at age 11 and released her first single when she was 15 years old. These early accomplishments set the foundation for her career in the music industry.
As Lady D, Diana has demonstrated her skills in both dance and music. She performed her original songs in Times Square, New York City, and her performances blend pop and urban genres in both English and Spanish. She has received recognition, including being named a 2023 and 2024 National Young Arts Winner in both the Voice and Singer-Songwriter categories. Her commitment to performing and creating music has led to the release of multiple singles, such as “I Won’t Hide,” “The Past,” “Wait,” “Dance With Me,” and “Déjame,” available on major streaming platforms. This progression demonstrates her continuous development as an independent artist.
Diana’s public journey started at 10 years old on “So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation.” At 11, she competed on “NBC’s World of Dance” where Jennifer Lopez acknowledged her talent. This experience led to her being featured in Jennifer Lopez’s “Amor, Amor, Amor” music video. She participated in the first World of Dance USA tour as the youngest featured soloist and performed internationally, including in Mumbai with Hrithik Roshan. Her appearances include Vidcon, WE Day, Aditya Birla Awards, Cirque Productions, Telemundo’s Un Nuevo Dia, and Wonderama TV. In 2020, she started releasing original music with her debut single “I Won’t Hide,” followed by “The Past” and the “Spanglish” single “Wait.” She released “Dance With Me” in 2022 and continues to release new music while maintaining her residence in Miami.
