Diego Schwartzman

Diego Schwartzman, an Argentine tennis player, built a notable career on the ATP Tour, achieving a career-high singles ranking of world No. 8 and securing four ATP singles titles. After turning professional in 2010, Diego Schwartzman quickly established himself as a formidable presence on the ATP Tour. In 2012, he secured multiple Futures titles and won the Buenos Aires Challenger.

He made his Grand Slam main draw debut at the French Open in 2014, a year in which he also claimed four ATP Challenger Tour titles and became the ATP Challenger Tour Finals champion. His breakthrough on the main tour came in 2016 with his first ATP singles title at the Istanbul Open, followed by reaching a second final at Antwerp. The 2017 season saw Schwartzman reach the quarterfinals of the US Open and the semifinals of the Canadian Open, securing his first victory over a top-10 player. Schwartzman continued his ascent in 2018, reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open before winning his second ATP title at the Rio Open, an ATP 500 clay tournament.

In 2022, Schwartzman was part of the Argentine ATP Cup team that defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas and reached the finals of both the Argentina Open and Rio Open. He also advanced to the singles quarterfinal at the Monte-Carlo Masters and the doubles final at the Italian Open. In 2023, he celebrated his 250th career win at the Japan Open Tennis Championships. He qualified for his 11th appearance in the US Open main draw in 2024.

Diego Schwartzman officially retired from professional tennis after competing in the Argentina Open in February 2025.
