American TikTok personality and YouTuber Dylan Lemay has amassed millions of online followers thanks to his popular “work stories” commentary videos. In the background of his videos Lemay – also known by his TikTok handle djlemay2 – makes ice cream and serves it to customers. His video “Why I Got Fired” went viral and racked up more than 7.7 million views, and since then he has garnered more than 3.57M subscribers on YouTube and his videos have been watched a staggering 3 billion times. The social media sensation has also earned a huge 10 million following on video sharing app TikTok.
Born in Michigan, Lemay got his first job at a Cold Stone Creamery when he was 15, and after he was fired because of nerves on his first day posted his viral video “Why I Got Fired” before going on to work at another branch of Cold Stone in the next town. Although he created his YouTube channel back in January 2013, the online star didn’t upload his first video until December 2020 and went on to become one of the fastest YouTubers to grow in 2021. After his massive explosion in popularity the YouTuber quit his job and now travels making his videos. Most of his videos are short POV shots of him working with fast food, and after rising to popularity with his Cold Stone videos he also works at a variety of other fast food joints including local ice cream shops and Dairy Queen. Lemay has even let fans come along to wherever he is working and make their own ice cream.
Bringing joy into people’s lives with his fun food videos, Lemay continues to take over social media one ice cream scoop at a time.
