About

Logan Sargeant’s career in motorsport initiated on the karting track, where he began competing at the age of eight. He quickly showcased his talent, notably winning the Karting Federation Junior championship in 2015. This achievement marked him as the first American to win an FIA karting championship since 1978. In 2016, Sargeant competed in the Formula 4 UAE Championship, securing second place overall with 15 podium finishes. The following year, he joined Carlin Racing to compete in the F4 British Championship, where he finished third, earning two wins and 10 podiums. In 2018, Sargeant participated in the Formula Renault Eurocup with R-ace GP, recording three wins and seven podiums, which positioned him fourth in the championship standings. He returned to Carlin in 2019 for his rookie season in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, also making his Macau Grand Prix debut and finishing on the podium.

For the 2020 season, Logan remained in FIA F3, achieving his debut victory in the Feature Race at Silverstone, which propelled him into the lead of the championship. He secured his second win at Spa-Francorchamps, winning the Sprint Race from third on the grid. Sargeant concluded the year third overall, narrowly missing the Championship title by four points. In 2021, he joined Charouz Racing System for a third season in FIA Formula 3, finishing seventh in the Championship standings and securing one victory at Russia’s Sochi Autodrom. This year also marked his first experience in Formula One machinery, participating in a post-season test with Williams Racing in the FW43B at Yas Marina Circuit, completing 92 laps.

In 2022, Logan competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, rejoining Carlin and representing Williams Racing as an Academy Driver. His performance included 2 wins and 4 podiums, earning him fourth position overall in the championship. This performance also secured his racing Super Licence, leading to his Formula 1 seat alongside Alex Albon for the 2023 Formula 1 season. Sargeant’s rookie Formula 1 season in 2023 saw him finish 21st in the Drivers’ Championship. He scored his first point in Formula 1 at the United States Grand Prix, becoming the first American driver to score points in 30 years. On December 1, 2023, Williams Racing announced that Logan would continue with the team for the 2024 season. He is also set to join PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports for the final two Michelin Endurance Cup rounds of the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, piloting the No. 52 ORECA LMP2 07 at the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
