Originally from Chicago, Dr. Sabrina Guillen Fabi is a board-certified dermatologic surgeon and a globally recognized leader in cosmetic dermatology. She serves as an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Fabi has dedicated her career to advancing the field through extensive research and patient care. Her early experiences with personal skin conditions inspired her to pursue a profession focused on helping individuals improve their self-esteem through dermatological health and aesthetics. She graduated at the top of her class from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, where she also completed her dermatology residency. Her training further included a fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Fabi is the associate research director at her practice, actively participating in over 200 clinical studies, including Phase III FDA clinical trials for injectables, lasers, and sclerotherapy. She is particularly recognized as a leading authority on Ultherapy, pioneering many of its applications, such as combining it with injectables and laser treatments for natural-looking 3-dimensional rejuvenation of both the face and body. Her expertise extends to authoring over 180 medical articles and co-authoring 30 book chapters on diverse topics like cosmetic injectables, intense pulsed light, lasers, liposuction, cellulite, skin tightening, and cosmeceuticals.
Beyond her clinical and research work, Dr. Fabi is a prominent international speaker and trainer. She has lectured in Spanish and English in over 40 countries, educating over 80,000 doctors on advancements in aesthetic dermatology. She trains other physicians in advanced injection techniques for major pharmaceutical companies such as Allergan and Galderma, and serves on the Global Faculty for Merz Aesthetics. Dr. Fabi also mentors dermatology residents and participates in philanthropic activities, including skin cancer awareness campaigns and pro bono treatments for veterans, reflecting her commitment to community service.
