Dr. Simon Ourian was born in Iran in 1966. He moved to Los Angeles with his parents in the 1980s. His early interest in cosmetic dermatology was influenced by observing the impact of plastic surgery on movie actors. He pursued higher education, earning an undergraduate degree in molecular biology from California State University, Northridge, followed by a medical degree from Wayne State University in Michigan. Though he began a residency at UCLA, he chose to leave to concentrate on a career in aesthetics, focusing on non-invasive procedures and developing his own techniques.
In 1998, Dr. Ourian established Epione Beverly Hills, a practice specializing in cosmetic dermatology. Within his practice, he developed innovative procedures such as Coolaser, designed to address acne and skin discoloration, and Coolbeam, which targets stretch marks. He also invented Vibrata, a tool aimed at minimizing patient discomfort during procedures, which is now utilized by medical professionals globally. Dr. Ourian’s work involves the application of various laser technologies and non-invasive aesthetic methods to correct or improve a range of dermatological conditions.
Over his career, Dr. Ourian has gained recognition for his clientele, which includes notable individuals such as the Kardashian-Jenner family, Victoria’s Secret supermodels, and various Hollywood actors and musicians. His Coolaser technology, for instance, has been used by public figures like Olivia Culpo and Kim Kardashian. This procedure involves cooling the treated area while emitting light pulses to stimulate cell repair and collagen growth. He has also worked with Kylie Jenner, Malika Haqq, Brandi Maxiell, Miss Colombia, Meghan James, Lady Gaga, beauty YouTuber Nikkie, and Lisa Vanderpump.
