Drew Harrisberg is an exercise physiologist, sports scientist, and diabetes educator based in the Greater Sydney Area. He earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport) from the University of Sydney, graduating between 2007 and 2010. Following this, he pursued further specialization with a Post-Grad Certificate in Diabetes Education & Management from the University of Technology Sydney, becoming an accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) and a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE).
At the age of 22, Drew was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This personal experience became a significant turning point in his life, motivating him to focus his professional expertise on diabetes management and overall wellness. He subsequently founded Drew’s Daily Dose, an initiative designed to provide education and inspiration for individuals living with diabetes. As part of this, he launched the Drew’s Daily Dose Podcast in May 2025 and co-founded Drew’s Daily Dose Pen Needles in October 2023. Through his platform, he merges evidence-based scientific knowledge with practical, lived experience to help others take control of their health.
Drew is recognized as a voice for the diabetes community, serving as an ambassador for Diabetes NSW. He has also delivered a TEDx talk, sharing his message of resilience and informed health choices. His work emphasizes a holistic “Five Pillars” approach to health, focusing on balanced daily habits in movement, nutrition, and mindset development.
