Dylan Bernard is an R&B recording artist, composer, and producer. In 2017, he released his debut EP Sparks, followed by the singles “Forever for Now” (2018), “Smoke and Mirrors” (2019), “All We Know” (2019), “Higher” (2019), “It Ain’t Up To Me” (2020), “Writer’s Block” (2020), and “Let It Be Known” (2021). All are available on Spotify, where he has garnered over 26,000 monthly listens.
In 2021, Bernard released his sophomore EP Writer’s Block, which was much anticipated in the music industry. The Writer’s Block EP is an in-depth look at Bernard’s life and features his smash hits “Higher” and “It Ain’t Up To Me,” which have accumulated approximately 15 million views and streams across all platforms combined. On the album, he sings on a variety of topics, ranging from love and lust on his smooth and seductive hit “Friend to Me”, to mental health on the reflective tune “Let It Be Known.” The Writer’s Block EP has Bernard’s distinctive silky tone and vocal riffs above modernised R&B productions.
Bernard serves as the producer for the songs “Writer’s Block,” “Friend to Me,” “On My Own,” “Let It Be Known,” and “Short Life”, while Bernard’s close friend and frequent creative partner Keaton Stromberg was responsible for the production of “Higher” and “It Ain’t Up To Me.” It marks the first time that Bernard has produced the majority of a musical production. Producing the EP served as an additional creative outlet for him, and was actually one of the factors that contributed to his ability to overcome his own writer’s block.
