Eddie Cibrian

Edward Carl Cibrian was born on June 16, 1973, in Burbank, California. His mother, Hortensia Balaguer, worked as an office manager, and his father, Carl Cibrian, was a banker. Both of his parents are Cuban immigrants. Cibrian began his acting career in the early 1990s, securing a role in “The Young and the Restless” from 1994 to 1996 as Matt Clark. Producers created this role specifically for him after he auditioned for a different part and impressed them. This early work laid the foundation for a career that would span across various television series and feature films, establishing his presence in the entertainment industry.

Throughout his career, Cibrian has demonstrated versatility in his acting roles. He gained significant recognition for his role as Cole Deschanel in the television series “Sunset Beach” (1997–1999) and later as Jimmy Doherty in “Third Watch” (1999–2005). These roles showcased his ability to handle both dramatic and action-oriented narratives in long-running television productions. His film career includes projects such as the cult classic “But I’m a Cheerleader” (1999) and “The Cave” (2005), where he played Tyler McAllister.
