Eddie Lacy

Eddie Lacy was a prominent NFL running back known for his powerful rushing style and significant achievements during his early career. After playing a pivotal role in three BCS National Championship victories for the University of Alabama in 2009, 2011, and 2012, Eddie Lacy established himself as a formidable running back. His collegiate performance earned him First-team All-SEC honors in 2012 and the Offensive MVP award in the 2013 BCS Championship Game. Lacy’s exceptional talent led to his selection by the Green Bay Packers in the second round, 61st overall, of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Lacy’s rookie season with the Green Bay Packers in 2013 was met with immediate and significant success. He was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and earned a Pro Bowl selection, alongside second-team All-Pro honors. He also secured a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team. During this impactful season, Lacy recorded 1,178 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, setting new Packer rookie records for both rushing yards and touchdowns.

He continued his strong performance into 2014, accumulating 1,139 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, making him only the second Packer in franchise history to rush for over 1,000 yards in his first two NFL seasons. His consistent impact was recognized by his peers, ranking 90th in the NFL Top 100 Players for 2014 and moving up to 60th in 2015. Following four impactful seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Eddie Lacy signed a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017. Though his tenure with Seattle was brief, Lacy concluded his NFL career having played 60 professional games.
