He’s the most marketable corporate sponsored sports entertainer of all time, the Weapon of Sass Destruction, the Golden Boy of Grab Ass and the Panhandle Prince of the Pumphandle Slam. At least that’s what he says! Meet the wonderfully flamboyant and hugely entertaining Effy (neé Taylor Gibson), one of the few openly queer pro-wrestlers working in the industry today. He currently holds two titles: Fest Wrestling Heavyweight Champion and Christian Championship Wrestling United States Champion, and is one of the industry’s best all-round showmen and good hearts.

Gibson’s journey to wrestling was one of self-discovery. After dealing with drug and alcohol abuse, he discovered a new purpose and a clearer sense of his own identity through action in the wrestling ring. And through the creation of his character Effy, Gibson also found a newfound sobriety and began to come to terms with his sexuality. He hopes that his openness and presentation in and out of the ring will help inspire a new generation of viewers and rising stars.
