Eli Salama

Eli Salama, born on August 24, 1996, in Coquitlam, British Columbia, has established himself as a distinguished professional lacrosse player. Educated at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Salama advanced to the NCAA Championship game with the RIT Tigers in 2017. His college career culminated in 2018 with significant accolades, including being named USILA Division III Long-Pole of the Year, Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year, USILA First Team All-American, and All-Liberty League First Team. These early achievements laid a strong foundation for his professional trajectory.

Salama’s professional journey began in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) after being drafted 12th overall in the 2018 NLL draft by the Calgary Roughnecks. He made an immediate impact, contributing to the Roughnecks’ NLL Championship win as a rookie in the 2019 season. His consistent performance led to him being named an alternate captain for the Calgary Roughnecks. Concurrently, Salama has been active in outdoor lacrosse, playing for the Dallas Rattlers in Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and later joining the Chrome Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), where he plays as a long stick midfielder. He was also a winner at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships representing Canada.
