Emily Alyn Lind

Emily Alyn Lind was born on May 6, 2002, to producer John Lind and actress Barbara Alyn Woods. Her sisters, Natalie Alyn Lind and Alyvia Alyn Lind, are also actresses. Lind began her acting career as a child, making her film debut in 2008 in “The Secret Life of Bees.” In the same period, she started working in television, with recurring roles in the ABC series “Eastwick” and the soap opera “All My Children,” as well as guest appearances on shows like “Days of Our Lives,” “Medium,” “Flashpoint,” and “Criminal Minds.” These early roles provided a foundation in both film and television.

Lind’s career advanced with significant recurring TV roles, including young Amanda Clarke in the ABC series “Revenge” from 2011 to 2015, appearing in 17 episodes. She also took on the role of Ariel in the CBS medical drama “Code Black,” initially as a recurring character in seasons 1 and 2, and then being promoted to a main role for the third season (2017-2018). Her film work continued with projects like “J. Edgar” (2011), where she portrayed Shirley Temple, “The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia” (2013), and “Lights Out” (2016). She appeared in the Netflix original films “The Babysitter” (2017) and its sequel, “The Babysitter: Killer Queen” (2020), as Melanie, and played Snakebite Andi in the theatrical film “Doctor Sleep” (2019).

More recently, Lind starred as Audrey Hope in the HBO Max teen drama series “Gossip Girl” from 2021 to 2023, showcasing her ability to lead a contemporary series. In 2024, she appeared as Melody in “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.” Looking ahead, it was announced in May 2024 that she will star as Cadence Sinclair Eastman, the protagonist in the upcoming series “We Were Liars,” based on the book of the same name.
