About

Born on March 26, 1962, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Eric Allan Kramer pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. His early training provided a foundation for a career that would span various facets of the entertainment industry, including acting and fight choreography. Kramer’s father, Roger Kramer, was a professional football tackle, a two-time CFL All-Star, which highlights a background rooted in physical discipline.

Kramer made his acting debut in 1987 in the television film “The Gunfighters.” A notable early career milestone was portraying Thor in the 1988 made-for-television film “The Incredible Hulk Returns,” making him the first actor to embody the Marvel Comics character in live-action. His filmography expanded to include roles in comedy features such as Little John in “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” (1993) and Bear in “American Wedding” (2003). He also demonstrated dramatic range in films like “True Romance” as Boris (1993). His television work is extensive, with appearances in popular series including “Cheers” (1989), “Seinfeld” (1992), “Mad About You” (1997), and “Two and a Half Men” (2003).

Kramer became widely known for his main roles in television sitcoms, notably as Dave Rogers on “The Hughleys” (1998–2002) and Bob Duncan on Disney Channel’s “Good Luck Charlie” (2010–2014), where he also directed two episodes. More recently, he played Scott Miller on AMC’s “Lodge 49” (2018–2019) and voiced Iron Mike Wilcox in the 2019 video game “Days Gone.” He continues to be active in both television and stage work, including as a member of the Antaeus Classical Rep Company in Los Angeles, where he earned an Ovatti Award nomination for his role in “The Wood Demon.”
