Eunsoo Lim

Eunsoo Lim, born on February 26, 2003, in Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea, began her figure skating career in 2009. She quickly progressed through the ranks, competing internationally in her novice years as early as 2013. Lim made her senior national debut during the 2014–15 season and secured her first national title in 2017. Her early career saw her earn two medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series: a bronze at the 2016 JGP Germany and a silver at the 2017 JGP Austria. She consistently placed within the top five at the World Junior Championships in 2017 and 2018, demonstrating her potential on the international stage.

Lim’s senior international career commenced in the 2018–19 season, where she achieved significant milestones. She won gold at the 2018 CS Asian Open Trophy, a silver at the 2018 CS U.S. International Figure Skating Classic, and a bronze medal at the 2018 Rostelecom Cup, marking her first senior Grand Prix medal. This season also included a fourth-place finish at the Four Continents Championships and a tenth-place finish at the 2019 World Championships. Her career involved training with notable coaches such as Rafael Arutyunyan before she returned to her former coaches in Korea. Lim retired from competitive figure skating on July 11, 2023, after a performance at the Four Continents Championships gala in Korea.

Following her retirement, Lim has pursued new avenues within figure skating. She has taken on roles as a choreographer, working with students of her former coach Choi Hyung-kyung, including Kim Chae-yeon and Lee Jae-keun. In August 2024, she starred as the lead in a South Korean musical ice show, “G-SHOW: THE LUNA.” Lim also joined fellow retired skaters Choi Da-bin and Wi Seoyeong in a special performance at the 2025 Four Continents Championships gala in Seoul. Additionally, she made her commentary debut at Spot TV for the Asian Games and is balancing her new career with studying sports business.
