Nika Egadze was born on April 2, 2002, in Tbilisi, Georgia. His journey in figure skating began in 2011 at the age of four, under the guidance of his first coach, Marina Jaiani. Egadze’s early career saw him make his junior international debut on the 2016–17 ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. He earned a bronze medal at the 2016 Ice Star and a silver medal at the 2016 Santa Claus Cup in the junior categories, demonstrating early promise in the sport. A significant turning point in his development came when he moved to Moscow, Russia, to train with renowned coaches Eteri Tutberidze, Sergei Dudakov, and Daniil Gleikhengauz. In January 2019, Egadze secured a gold medal at the junior level of the 2019 Skate Helena and later competed at the 2019 World Junior Championships, finishing in eighteenth place.
Egadze transitioned to senior international competitions during the 2021–22 season. He achieved a notable victory at the 2021 CS Cup of Austria, securing a gold medal, and also earned a bronze at the 2021 Volvo Open Cup. His senior career progressed with consistent appearances at major events, including the Grand Prix series and World Championships. In the 2022–23 season, he won gold at the 2022 CS Denis Ten Memorial Challenge and placed seventh at the 2023 European Championships. The 2023–24 season brought further success, with silver medals at the 2023 CS Lombardia Trophy and the 2023 CS Nepela Memorial. He also finished fourth at the 2023 NHK Trophy and 2023 Skate America, showcasing his competitive standing among top international skaters.
The 2024–25 season saw Egadze continue to build on his achievements, securing a bronze medal at the 2024 CS Denis Ten Memorial Challenge and consistently placing among the top athletes at Grand Prix events, including a fourth-place finish at the 2024 Skate America and the 2024 Cup of China. He also achieved a fourth-place finish at the 2025 European Championships and a ninth-place finish at the 2025 World Championships, further solidifying his position in international figure skating. Egadze is known for his dedication, training extensively with coaches Eteri Tutberidze, Sergei Dudakov, and Daniil Gleikhengauz, with Benoit Richaud choreographing his programs.
