Finn Russell

Finn Russell is a Scottish professional rugby union player known for his creative playmaking skills at fly-half, who has achieved significant milestones in domestic and international rugby. After receiving the prestigious John Macphail Scholarship in 2013, which provided him 15 weeks of specialized coaching at the Canterbury Rugby Football Union International High Performance Unit in New Zealand, Finn Russell went on to establish himself as a leading professional rugby union fly-half. He made his professional debut with Glasgow Warriors on February 10, 2013, in a Pro12 match against Zebre, quickly earning a full-time contract for the 2014–15 season. Russell played a pivotal role in Glasgow’s 2015 Pro12 title triumph, contributing 22 points in a crucial victory against Ulster and helping secure the final win over Munster.

Looking ahead, 2025 marks a pivotal year as Russell secured both the 2024–25 European Challenge Cup and the 2024–25 Premiership Rugby title with Bath Rugby. His esteemed international career continues with his selection for the 2025 British & Irish Lions tour to Australia, where he was further honored in May 2025 with the Howden’s Player of the Series award. Cementing his long-term commitment, Finn Russell signed a contract extension with Bath Rugby until June 2028, ensuring his continued impact at the highest level of professional rugby.
