Fiona Quinn has walked, cycled and paddleboarded her way into the world record books, becoming the first woman to complete a length of Britain triathlon and the first woman to stand up paddleboard across the Irish Sea, on route from Lands End to John O’Groats in 2018, covering 800 miles in all. The following year, she was awarded the British Canoeing John MacGregor Outstanding Challenge Award in recognition of her many admirable examples of what can be achieved when you dare to dream big. Despite starting before she was ready, Quinn has pushed herself to accomplish seriously impressive feats and now inspires others to do the same through her motivational talks and business coaching.
Quinn has more than enough experience and charisma to give compelling and goose bump-inducing inspirational talks: she has traversed the length of Britain three times, facing injury, whirlpools and endless amounts of cake along the way. She overcame her fear of the sea to go on the epic adventure of paddle boarding Britain, and now encourages others to go above and beyond what they thought possible. Quinn has shared her story at businesses, festivals and award ceremonies, speaking at events and on television and radio, including the Adventure Travel Show, BBC One, BBC Radio Bristol, the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, Kingston Business Expo 2016 and TedX.
A successful entrepreneur, Quinn also runs multiple businesses: she started Adventure Book Club, a subscription service for members to find inspiration from adventurous non-fiction books while meeting like-minded people. She also heads up a business coaching program for individuals and a 3-month group coaching program, the Action Collective. Through motivational speaking, writing and coaching, Quinn enthusiastically motivates people to change their view of what’s possible and take on their own adventures across all areas of life.
