Fletcher Cox

Fletcher Cox was born on December 13, 1990, in Yazoo City, Mississippi. He displayed athletic talent early on, playing football, basketball, and track at Yazoo City High School. His collegiate career at Mississippi State University saw him earn All-American honors in 2011, totaling 103 tackles, 11 sacks, and two interceptions. Cox decided to forgo his senior season and entered the NFL Draft.

Cox was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles as the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He quickly became a foundational player for the Eagles, adapting to both 3-4 and 4-3 defensive schemes. Throughout his 12-year tenure with the team, he achieved significant milestones, including earning six Pro Bowl selections and four All-Pro honors, highlighted by a First-team All-Pro selection in 2018. A defining moment in his career came in 2018 when he helped the Eagles secure victory in Super Bowl LII. His impactful play and consistent performance earned him a place on the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. Cox announced his retirement from the NFL on March 10, 2024, concluding a distinguished career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
