Dana Carvey

Dana Carvey is a distinguished Emmy-award-winning comedian and actor, widely recognized for his memorable characters and precise impressions, making him a valued personality for brand collaborations and entertainment projects. After securing a development deal with NBC in 1981, Dana Carvey quickly established himself as a versatile comedic talent, starring as Mickey Rooney’s grandson in the sitcom One of the Boys (1982) and appearing in Halloween II (1981). His career trajectory soared when he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1986. During his six-season tenure, Carvey became instrumental in reversing the show’s declining popularity, creating iconic characters such as The Church Lady, Garth Algar, and the Grumpy Old Man.

In 1996, Carvey hosted The Dana Carvey Show, a sketch comedy series that, despite its short run, served as an early platform for acclaimed talents like Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert. Carvey continued to showcase his comedic range, starring in The Master of Disguise (2002), where he portrayed multiple characters. He has also lent his distinctive voice to animated blockbusters, including Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015) and as the beloved character ‘Pops’ in The Secret Life of Pets (2016) and The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019). Demonstrating his enduring presence and adaptability in the entertainment industry, Carvey co-hosts the acclaimed podcast Fly on the Wall with David Spade, launched in 2022, and also helms the Superfly podcast.
