Rhyon Nicole Brown

Rhyon Nicole Brown, born on October 6, 1992, in Los Angeles, California, USA, embarked on her acting journey at the age of four and a half. Her early career saw her in various television series and films. She gained recognition for recurring roles in “Judging Amy” playing Rebecca Van Exel, and “That’s So Raven” as Madison. A significant early role was Lizzie Sutton in the ABC Family series “Lincoln Heights,” where she was a main cast member from 2007 to 2009. Brown also appeared in the 2005 film “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” portraying the younger version of 50 Cent’s love interest, Charlene.

Brown continued to build her acting portfolio with notable performances, including her portrayal of R&B artist Michel’le in the 2016 Lifetime biopic “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le.” Her career progressed with roles in various television series such as “Tales” and Tyler Perry’s “For Better or Worse.” In 2018, she joined the cast of FOX’s “Empire” as Maya, transitioning from a recurring role in season 4 to a series regular in seasons 5 and 6, which aired through 2020. Concurrently, she appeared in films like “Throwback Holiday” (2018) and the indie crime-action film “Killers Anonymous” (2019) alongside Gary Oldman and Jessica Alba.

Beyond acting, Rhyon Nicole Brown is also a singer and writer. She pursued her passion for the arts and education at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, majoring in Film and Production, where she honed her skills behind the camera. She wrote a treatment and directed a music video for a Columbia Records recording artist during her studies. Following her graduation, she merged her talents in acting, writing, and music. Brown collaborated with producer Harmony Samuels, resulting in her debut EP, “Pretty Girl,” released in early 2019. Her philanthropic efforts led to her being honored with the “Rising Star” Award at the 2018 Trumpet Awards by McDonald’s, acknowledging her dedication to inspiring others through her work.
