Francesca Lollobrigida is an Italian speed skater, an Olympic medalist, and a world champion, who transitioned from inline speed skating to become a prominent figure in ice speed skating. After securing an impressive 13 gold medals at inline speed skating world championships between 2012 and 2019, Francesca Lollobrigida transitioned to ice speed skating, commencing her training in Baselga di Pinè, Italy, in 2008. Overcoming significant challenges, including three shoulder operations following a crash at the 2011 World Inline Championships, Lollobrigida’s dedication paved the way for a remarkable career in Olympic-level competition. Lollobrigida’s transition to ice speed skating led to her representing Italy at three Olympic Games, debuting at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, followed by appearances in 2018 and 2022.
Demonstrating her unwavering competitive spirit, she swiftly earned a bronze medal in the Mass Start at the European Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen in 2024. Lollobrigida is currently focused on her goal of competing in the 2026 Olympic Winter Games set to be held in Milan-Cortina.
