Francesco Molinari

Francesco Molinari is a professional golfer from Italy, known for his major championship victory, multiple Ryder Cup appearances, and consistent performance across the European and PGA Tours. After turning professional in 2004, Francesco Molinari quickly established himself on the European Tour, earning his tour card in 2005. His inaugural European Tour victory came in May 2006 at the Telecom Italia Open, making him the first Italian to win the event since 1980. Over the following three years, Molinari demonstrated consistent performance with twenty top-10 finishes, leading to his entry into the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking in October 2009.

This monumental achievement propelled him to sixth place in the Official World Golf Ranking. His exceptional 2018 season was further recognized with numerous accolades, including the Race to Dubai winner, European Tour Golfer of the Year, European Tour Players’ Player of the Year, BBC World Sport Star of the Year, and the Golden Collar of Sports Merit.
