Gabriela Garcia

Gabriela Antonia García Segura, known as Gaby, was born on April 2, 1997, in Tunapuy, Venezuela. From an early age, Gaby demonstrated athletic talent across handball, basketball, and football. Her aptitude for football became apparent following a strong performance at a Sucre Department football tournament in 2007, which led to her recruitment into the Venezuela youth national team setup.

Gaby’s professional career began to flourish when she joined Deportivo de La Coruña in 2017. During her four seasons with the club, she played a pivotal role in their ascent to Liga F, a top-tier Spanish women’s football league. A notable highlight of her tenure with Deportivo was becoming the first player to achieve 100 competitive appearances for the club. Her scoring ability was also evident, particularly during the 2018–19 Segunda División season, where she scored 31 goals, directly contributing to Deportivo’s promotion.

Following her successful period at Deportivo, Gaby moved to Real Sociedad Femenino in 2021, where she continued to contribute to high-level competition. She notably led the team to the 2022–23 Supercopa de España Femenina final. In 2023, she transferred to Atlético Madrid, her current club, where she continues to play as a forward. In the 2023–24 Liga F season, she scored a goal in a 1-0 home victory against Sporting de Huelva. She has also represented the Venezuela national team at various levels, including U17, U20, and the senior squad, accumulating 38 caps and 15 goals for the senior team.
