Garrett Muagututia established himself as a dominant force in collegiate volleyball, earning Second Team All-American honors twice during his tenure at UCLA from 2006 to 2010. Demonstrating exceptional performance, he led his team in kills and points during key seasons, playing in all 30 matches and starting 28 in 2007, recording 12 double-digit kill matches. In 2008, Muagututia set a new single-season rally scoring UCLA record with 473 kills and 547.0 points, achieving a career-high of 31 kills against CSN. His collegiate career concluded with an impressive 1,473 kills, 99 aces, and 741 digs, placing him among UCLA’s all-time leaders.
His momentum continued with a Silver medal at the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Nations League Final Round. In 2023, Muagututia further solidified his elite status, securing Gold at the Olympic Qualifier, winning Gold at the NORCECA Continental Championship, and earning a Silver medal at the Volleyball Nations League Final. Most recently, he achieved a career-defining Bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games, capping over a decade of dedication representing the U.S. Mens National Team on the world stage.
