Geno Segers

Geno Segers is an American actor and voice-artist, recognized for his expansive career in film, television, and video games. After a successful professional rugby league career playing for the American National Rugby League and earning two caps for the United States national rugby league team in 1995 against Wales, Geno Segers transitioned into entertainment. His distinct, deep bass voice quickly garnered attention, leading to initial voice advertisements for a New Zealand radio station. This momentum culminated in his breakthrough casting as Mufasa in the critically acclaimed stage production of Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ in Australia, a role he subsequently reprised in both American and Chinese productions, establishing his presence in the acting world.

Segers appeared in the critically praised western ‘Bone Tomahawk’ in 2015 and the acclaimed action thriller ‘Brawl in Cell Block 99’ in 2017. That same year, he lent his distinctive voice to the character of Galactus in the popular video game ‘Fortnite.’ On television, he took on the role of Ryker in ‘Knight Squad’ from 2018 to 2019, and a main cast role as Dwayne in NBC’s comedy ‘Perfect Harmony,’ appearing in 13 episodes from 2019 to 2020. Most recently, Segers has continued to expand his impressive voice acting portfolio, notably voicing Hekarro in the highly anticipated video game ‘Horizon Forbidden West’ in 2022. In 2023, he featured in the film ‘Journey to Bethlehem.’ Beyond his on-screen and voice work, Segers is also dedicated to empowering youth through his ‘Hold It On The Road’ foundation, which focuses on delivering motivational speaking to encourage positive life choices.
