Geoffrey “Geoff” Neal is a talented American professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the welterweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As of March 2023, he was named to the #8 spot in the UFC welterweight rankings.
Born in Austin, Texas, Neal played football at private university Texas Lutheran before transitioning to MMA under the guidance of coach Sayif Saud. Neal made his professional debut in 2010 and competed in a total of 10 mixed martial arts matches, winning 8 and losing 2 of them before being signed by the UFC. Neal made his highly anticipated promotional debut in February 2018, against Brian Camozzi at UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Medeiros, winning the bout via submission in the first round. Since then, he has faced several top-ranked welterweights, including Neil Magny, Stephen Thompson, and Vicente Luque. Neal has won 15 of his 20 professional fights, with 9 wins by knockout, 2 by submission, and 4 by decision. He has also been the recipient of two coveted Performance of the Night awards and one Fight of the Night award in his UFC career.
