George Fisher, known professionally as Corpsegrinder, began his impactful career in 1988 by forming his first band, Corpsegrinder. He quickly gained recognition for his unique vocal style, characterized by death growls, high shrieks, and rapid-fire delivery. This distinctive talent led to his guest vocal appearance on Suffocation’s seminal album ‘Effigy of the Forgotten’ in 1991. The following year, Fisher became the lead vocalist for Monstrosity, lending his powerful voice to their debut studio album, ‘Imperial Doom’ (1992), and later to ‘Millennium’ (1996).
In recent years, Fisher has remained highly active. He delivered vocals for Cannibal Corpse’s ‘Red Before Black’ (2017) and ‘Violence Unimagined’ (2021). Other guest contributions include Igorrr’s ‘Spirituality and Distortion’ (2020), Dee Snider’s ‘Leave a Scar’ (2021), and Ice Nine Kills’ ‘The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood’ (2021). In 2022, Fisher released his highly anticipated debut solo album, ‘Corpsegrinder,’ before contributing to Cannibal Corpse’s ‘Chaos Horrific’ (2023) and upcoming guest appearances on Body Count’s ‘Merciless’ (2024) and Shadow of Intent’s ‘Imperium Delirium’ (2025).
