Jill Zarin, born in Woodmere, New York, pursued an education in retail management, graduating from Simmons University in 1985. She began her professional career as an Assistant Buyer at Filene’s, subsequently advancing to National Sales Manager and Vice President of Great American Knitting Mills Jockey division. Early experiences in the textile industry provided a foundation for her future ventures. Zarin gained significant public recognition as an original cast member on the Bravo reality television series “The Real Housewives of New York City,” appearing from 2008 to 2011. During this period, she also co-authored the book “Secrets of a Jewish Mother” in 2010 with her mother and sister.
Following her time on reality television, Jill Zarin expanded her brand into various business ventures. She established “SKWEEZ COUTURE by Jill Zarin” in 2011, a line of body shapewear. This was followed by the launch of “Jill Zarin Home,” a bedding line, utilizing her background and expertise in textiles. Zarin continued to develop her presence in the home decor market through partnerships for rug and furniture collections. In more recent years, she has ventured into the beauty industry with “Jill Zarin Beauty,” offering skincare products. Concurrently with her business endeavors, Zarin has been involved in philanthropic efforts, particularly focusing on raising awareness and funds for arthritic diseases, a cause motivated by her daughter’s and stepson’s diagnoses. She established her brand “Jill & Ally” with her daughter, Ally Shapiro, which includes lines of candles and gift boxes. As of 2022, Zarin resides in Boca Raton, Florida.
