Giaa Manek was born on February 18, 1986, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. She began her acting career in 2010, initially appearing in a minor role in the Hindi comedy film ‘Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke’ before transitioning to television. Her breakthrough came with the Star Plus show ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya,’ where she portrayed the character of Gopi Modi (2010-2012). This role brought her significant recognition and made her a household name in Indian television.
In 2012, Manek participated in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5.’ Her involvement in the dance show led to a scheduling conflict with her role in ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya,’ ultimately resulting in her departure from the series. Following her time on the dance reality show, she took on the lead role of Jeannie in the SAB TV series ‘Jeannie Aur Juju,’ which ran from 2012 to 2014, spanning 415 episodes. Throughout her career, Manek has also been recognized for her performances, receiving the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress (Popular) in 2011 and the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role in 2012. She further expanded her work by joining ‘Box Cricket League Season 1’ in 2014.
Her career continued with guest appearances and other roles, including Shanti Roy in ‘Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai’ (2015) and Gopika in Zee TV’s ‘Manmohini’ (2019). From 2021 to 2022, she returned to a familiar universe by playing Gopika Modi in ‘Tera Mera Saath Rahe,’ a reboot series of ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya,’ appearing in 202 episodes. In 2024, she took on the role of Radha in the film ‘Kaam Chalu Hai.’ Most recently, in August 2025, she married actor Varunn Jain in an intimate spiritual ceremony.
