GloZell Lynette Green, born on July 30, 1972, in Orlando, Florida, is an American YouTube personality and stand-up comedian. She graduated from the University of Florida in 1997 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre. In 2003, GloZell moved to Hollywood, California, to pursue a career in acting and comedy. She trained with The Groundlings and began creating a blog to document her experiences, which evolved into uploading video interviews to YouTube in 2008. Her early YouTube content included comedy skits about her daily life, celebrity impersonations, song parodies, and internet trends. Her first viral video, “My Push up Bra will help me get my man,” gained over 20 million views by 2013, and her 2012 cinnamon challenge video accumulated over 60 million views, bringing her widespread attention.
GloZell’s career progression saw her platform expand significantly. By 2015, her YouTube channel had amassed over four million subscribers and more than 700 million total views. A notable achievement occurred on January 22, 2015, when she interviewed President Barack Obama in a YouTube livestream hosted at the White House, discussing topics such as racial profiling, police shootings, Cuba relations, and cybersecurity. She later made guest appearances in television shows like Nickelodeon’s “Game Shakers” and had a role in the 2015 film “The Wedding Ringer.” In 2016, she voiced Grandma Rosiepuff in DreamWorks’ animated film “Trolls” and released her autobiography, “Is You Okay?”
Further career milestones include her role as the Jazz Singer in the YouTube Red original series “Escape the Night” in 2016, for which she and the ensemble cast won a Streamy Award. In 2017, she launched “GloBugz!,” a new YouTube channel targeting preschoolers. GloZell also had a minor role as Little Debbie in the 2018 animated film “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and participated in Season 29 of “Worst Cooks in America” in 2025. Throughout her career, GloZell has performed stand-up comedy at venues such as The Comedy Store, The Improv, and the Laugh Factory, and has been featured in publications including The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Forbes.
