Talia Favia is a Los Angeles based Choreographer, Dancer, and Artist. She has taught and choreographed all over the world.
Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Talia Favia has established a notable career in contemporary choreography. Her artistic and passionate approach has allowed her to contribute significantly to the contemporary dance community, earning respect from dancers and peers globally. In 2014, Favia founded The Difference Between Dance Company, which originated in Phoenix, Arizona, and subsequently relocated to Los Angeles. This company served as a platform for her distinctive choreographic vision.
Favia’s choreography has reached various major platforms, including television shows such as “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Dancing with the Stars,” and “World Of Dance.” Her routines have resonated with a global audience, contributing to her recognition within the industry. Beyond television, she has also directed and choreographed for musical artists, such as Dermot Kennedy, infusing emotional storytelling into her work. Currently, Favia is a faculty member for the touring dance convention RADIX, where she instructs and mentors emerging dancers and choreographers. Her work has been described as “transformative from the inside out,” reflecting her influence across various areas of dance.
Throughout her career, Favia has also undertaken commercial projects, including choreographing for music videos such as James Bay’s “Let It Go” and PINK’s “What About Us” as an assistant choreographer. She has also contributed to campaigns like the SAMSUNG 360 Promo. Her commitment to her craft has been recognized through accolades such as the 2015 Capezio Ace Award for Choreographer Of The Year and the 2021 YAGP Best Choreography award, solidifying her standing in the dance world.
