Gülsim Ali

Gülsim Ali, born Gülsim İlhan Ali on February 18, 1995, in Ruse, Bulgaria, is a Bulgarian-Turkish citizen of Turkish descent. She grew up fluent in Bulgarian, Turkish, English, and Japanese. Her early career began in modeling, where she won the ‘Super Model Ford Models Bulgaria’ contest in 2009 and subsequently represented Bulgaria in the ‘Ford Models of the World’ beauty contest held in Brazil in the same year. This early exposure paved the way for her transition into acting.

Ali began her acting career in 2012, making her television debut in the series “Son Yaz: Balkanlar 1912.” She continued to build her acting portfolio with diverse roles across various television series. A significant milestone in her career came with her role as Aslıhan Hatun in the historical series “Diriliş: Ertuğrul” from 2016 to 2018, which gained her broader recognition. She later took on leading roles in family comedies such as “Hanım Köylü” in 2016 and “Gönül Dağı” (An Anatolian Tale) from 2020 to 2022.

Throughout her career, Ali has demonstrated versatility in her acting, participating in mini-series like “Seddülbahir 32 Saat” in 2016, and appearing in crime series such as “Son Çıkış.” Her career progression includes roles in historical dramas like “Payitaht Abdülhamid” from 2019 to 2020 and the military series “Al Sancak” in 2023, showcasing her ability to perform across different genres.
