Gwen Lynn is an Environmental Safety Scientist, born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Rutgers University, followed by a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Occupational Health Sciences from City University of New York. Her professional career began with a focus on environmental monitoring across various disciplines, including air, water, and soil assessment, as well as health and safety assessments, particularly in construction projects. Her early career also involved working on projects in New York and New Jersey.
Faced with limited opportunities for environmental safety scientists in the Southern USA, Gwen Lynn established In A Green Minute (IAGM) Consultants. This venture allowed her to pursue her passion for environmental advocacy and education. IAGM specializes in creating accessible media content, including podcasts and 60-second videos, designed to engage both scientific and non-scientific audiences on topics of environmental progressiveness and emerging green technology. The company’s motto, “it only takes a minute to be green,” reflects its commitment to inspiring everyday eco-conscious actions. IAGM has expanded its reach, developing international environmental partnerships with entities in China and Europe, while maintaining its primary operations in the Eastern USA.
Throughout her career, Gwen Lynn has demonstrated a consistent commitment to environmental health and safety. Her work includes providing Environmental, Health, and Safety management for TV/film productions, managing COVID compliance testing, and overseeing construction safety for large distribution centers. She has also served as the TV Host of “Outdoor Wild Kids Adventures,” where she played a scientist, and hosts and produces the In A Green Minute video and podcast. As Chairwoman of Mothers and Others For Clean Air (MOCA), Gwen advocates for children’s environmental well-being, notably partnering with school districts and the US EPA to transition to electric school buses.
