Harris English is a PGA Tour professional golfer known for his consistent performance and multiple victories on tour. After becoming one of only three amateurs to achieve a Nationwide Tour victory with his win at the 2011 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational, Harris English turned professional in September 2011. Prior to this, English demonstrated exceptional amateur talent, securing an individual Tennessee state title in 2005 and contributing to four team state titles from 2004 to 2007. Following his professional debut at the Soboba Golf Classic, English quickly earned his PGA Tour card for the 2012 season by finishing 13th at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament.
In his rookie year, he established himself as a consistent contender, successfully making 22 of 27 cuts, recording three top-ten finishes, and earning over $1.18 million. His inaugural PGA Tour victory came in 2013 at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, signaling his arrival as a force on the professional circuit. English continued his ascent on the PGA Tour later in 2013 with his second professional win at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, where he delivered a dominant performance to secure an impressive four-stroke lead over the field.
Further solidifying his elite standing, English played a crucial role as a member of the winning U.S. Ryder Cup team in September 2021, contributing to the team’s dominant performance. Most recently, Harris English continued his winning momentum in January 2025 by securing his fifth PGA Tour title at the Farmers Insurance Open. This victory underscores his sustained excellence and enduring competitive edge on the professional golf circuit, positioning him as a consistent and formidable presence in the sport.
