World champion, Olympian and Team GB athlete Harry Aikines-Aryeetey is a world-class sportsman. A London native, Aikines-Aryeetey has had a meteoric career in the track. From his debut at the Commonwealth Youth Games at 16 years old, he left spectators blown away by his silver medalling performance. Going from strength to strength, Aikines-Aryeetey quickly earned a reputation as an unstoppable force and earned such titles as the World Junior Championships in Athletics gold. Now one of the most pivotal members of Team GB, Aikines-Aryeetey is an athlete in his prime.
Sprinting at the 2020 British Athletics Championships in Manchester, Aikenes-Aryeetey proved his mettle as he took the top spot – claiming his first British title with a time of 10.35 seconds. No stranger to the crown, he has seen many successes flying solo and as part of the men’s 4 x 100 metres relay. From earning the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year to becoming the first athlete to win gold at both the 100 meters and 200 meters at the World Youth Championships, it’s no surprise that he has found his footing at senior level. To date, he has competed in six World Athletics Championships, two Olympic Games, two Commonwealth Games, as well as numerous European Athletics Championships and more.
Away from the competitive field, Aikenes-Aryeetey is an online fitness trainer and coach. With a keen desire to help his clients become more powerful, faster and stronger, Aikenes-Aryeetey is an inspiring role model on and off the track.
