Haskiri Velazquez

Haskiri Velazquez, a Dominican-Puerto Rican actress and producer, has transitioned from New York City’s Dyckman neighborhood to prominent roles in Hollywood, advocating for authentic representation and empowerment through her work and personal initiatives. After landing a significant role as Daisy in the ‘Saved by the Bell’ reboot (2020–2021), Haskiri Velazquez solidified her presence in film and television following extensive training with the Urban Arts Partnership’s Lifestories Theater program. Through this program, she performed in numerous black-box productions at esteemed venues such as Theater Row in Times Square and the Lucille Lortel Theater, where she was directed by talents including Gina Rodríguez, Jesse Williams, and Victor Maog. Velazquez made her on-screen debut as Tatiana García in ‘NYC 22’ and further expanded her television credits with the role of Shyvon Stevens in ‘Law & Order SVU’ in 2016.

Her performance in ‘Saved by the Bell’ garnered particular recognition, navigating the complexities of production during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Velazquez continued to build a robust portfolio in film and television with a diverse range of projects. In 2019, she appeared as Charlotte in ‘The Birch’.
