Hayley McQueen, an award-winning producer, began her television career behind the camera as a runner and production assistant for the acclaimed program ‘Richard and Judy.’ This foundational experience led to her transition into sports broadcasting, where she quickly established herself as a reporter and producer for Middlesbrough’s Boro TV. During this period, McQueen further engaged with the football community through Middlesbrough FC’s ‘Football in the Community’ scheme before being recruited by Sky Sports News, where she transitioned to an on-screen presenter role, marking a significant turning point in her career. In December 2006, McQueen departed Sky Television to join Manchester United TV (MUTV) as the main match day anchor, a role she held for four seasons. Her responsibilities at MUTV included presenting and producing news, daily talk shows, and live match day build-up and phone-in programs.
She also presents ‘Sport Sunday,’ a weekly five-hour program, and has conducted interviews with numerous notable sports figures, including Usain Bolt, David Beckham, Jose Mourinho, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Her expertise also extends to presenting the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup for Sky Sports. Beyond her role as a lead anchor, McQueen has co-presented Sky Sports’ ‘Football First’ Premier League highlights show, ‘Match Choice,’ and has been a co-presenter for Sky Sports Champions League coverage. She also co-presented the ‘Sportswomen’ program.
