Heather McMahan transitions from actress and writer to a celebrated stand-up comedian and podcaster, sharing relatable humor with global audiences. After launching her critically acclaimed podcast ‘Absolutely Not! with Heather McMahan,’ Heather McMahan rapidly gained recognition for her comedic talent, developing a reputation for her authentic and relatable humor. The Hollywood Reporter notably described her as an ‘auditory David Sedaris for the millennial set.’ Prior to her breakout in comedy, McMahan honed her craft through training at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) in Los Angeles.

She also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater from the University of Mississippi in 2009. Her early acting career included roles in television series such as ‘Zoe Ever After’ (2016) and ‘If Loving You Is Wrong’ (2017), alongside appearances in TV movies like ‘Bride to Maybe’ (2015) and ‘Merry Ex-Mas’ (2016). McMahan continued to expand her presence in film and television, starring in the feature film ‘The Trap’ (2019) and the Netflix romantic comedy ‘Love Hard’ (2021). Her role as Kerry in ‘Love Hard’ contributed to the film achieving the number one position in audience popularity worldwide on Netflix shortly after its release, underscoring her broad appeal.

Following this achievement, McMahan completed her second North American engagement, ‘The Comeback Tour,’ which notably included a sold-out performance at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in New York City. McMahan debuted her second stand-up special, ‘Breadwinner,’ on Hulu in October 2024, continuing to build on her momentum. She has also taken on additional acting roles, including appearances in the TV movie ‘Good Grief’ and the TV series ‘I Can’t Right Now’.
