Heidi Weng

Heidi Weng, born on July 20, 1991, in Ytre Enebakk, Norway, is a prominent cross-country skier and fell runner. Starting her professional career in 2010 with IL i BUL, Weng quickly established herself as a formidable talent. Her early achievements include winning three gold medals at the Junior World Championships: two in relay events (2010, 2011) and one in pursuit (2011). In addition to her skiing prowess, Weng also holds a Norwegian senior championship in fell running from 2010 and was a Norwegian junior champion in cross-country running.

Throughout her career, Weng has accumulated significant accolades. She secured an Olympic bronze medal in the 15 km skiathlon at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Her World Championship record includes multiple medals, with five gold medals in total. These include various relay golds in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2021, and a team sprint gold in 2017.
