Iain Lee, born Iain Lee Rougvie on June 9, 1973, in Slough, Buckinghamshire, embarked on his career after graduating in performing arts from Middlesex University. He began as a stand-up comedian in the 1990s, performing on the London circuit and touring nationwide. Lee gained significant recognition as a co-host and correspondent for Channel 4’s satirical comedy program “The 11 O’Clock Show” from 1998 to 2000. During this period, he was known for his unconventional on-the-street interviews. Following this, he co-hosted the breakfast show “RI:SE” in 2003 and also presented the video game show “Thumb Bandits” for Channel 4. His early television career also included appearances on “Big Brother” spin-off shows like “Big Brother’s Little Brother” and “Big Brother’s Bit on the Side,” along with regular newspaper reviews on “Sky News: Sunrise” and “This Morning.”
Lee transitioned into a full-time radio career in 2005, starting with LBC 97.3, where he hosted various shows and gained renown for his unfiltered call-in segments.
