Irina Rîngaci

Irina Rîngaci, born on August 23, 2001, in Leova, Moldova, is a freestyle wrestler who has achieved recognition in her sport. She has represented Moldova in various international competitions. Her career began with notable performances in junior and youth categories, setting the foundation for her later success in senior-level events. Rîngaci quickly progressed through the ranks, demonstrating consistent performance and a commitment to her athletic development. Her early career included participation in events such as the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2019 World U23 Wrestling Championship.

Her career trajectory saw significant milestones starting in 2021 when she secured a gold medal at the World Wrestling Championships in Oslo, Norway, in the women’s 65 kg category. This achievement made her the first female wrestler from Moldova to win a gold medal at this event. Rîngaci continued her success by winning multiple gold and silver medals at the European Wrestling Championships in subsequent years, competing in both the 65 kg and 68 kg weight classes. She also competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

Throughout her career, Rîngaci has accumulated a total of five medals at the European Wrestling Championships and multiple medals at World Wrestling Championships and various Grand Prix events.
