Isabel May

Isabel May, born on November 21, 2000, in Santa Monica, California, began her acting career after a period of dedicated pursuit. After three years of auditioning without securing a role, she transitioned to online schooling in tenth grade to focus on her acting aspirations. This commitment led to her first major role as Katie Cooper in the Netflix series “Alexa & Katie” (2018–2020), a co-lead position she landed with limited prior acting experience. Concurrently, she appeared in a recurring role as Veronica Duncan on the CBS series “Young Sheldon” (2018–2020), portraying the love interest of Sheldon’s brother Georgie.

Her career progressed with notable film roles, including the lead as Zoe Hull in the action-thriller film “Run Hide Fight” (2020), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. May gained widespread recognition and critical acclaim for her portrayal of Elsa Dutton, the lead character and narrator, in the Paramount+ western limited series “1883” (2021–2022), a prequel to “Yellowstone.” She reprised her role as the narrator for the sequel series “1923” (2022–2025) and has an uncredited vocal role in “Yellowstone” (2024). For her work on “1883,” she received the Outstanding Actress in a Made For Television Movie / Limited Series award at the 24th Women’s Image Network Awards.

May has also taken on various upcoming projects, including being cast opposite Jennifer Lopez in “The Last Mrs. Parrish” and is set to play Sidney Prescott’s daughter in “Scream 7” (2026).
