Istvan Peni

Istvan Peni is a Hungarian sport shooter who has earned multiple medals at international competitions, including the Youth Olympics, European Games, and World Cups. After securing a bronze medal in the boys’ 10m air rifle at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, Istvan Peni went on to win a gold medal in the mixed rifle team competition during the same Youth Olympics, partnering with Hadir Mekhimad of Egypt. These early victories marked Peni as a formidable competitor across rifle disciplines, including the 10m air rifle (AR60), 50m rifle prone (FR60PR), and 50m rifle 3 positions (FR3X40) events, where he consistently demonstrated elite precision and composure on the international stage. Peni continued to build upon this early success, earning a silver medal at the 2018 World Championships in Changwon in the highly competitive 300m rifle 3 positions event.
